About the age restriction

Due to the recommendations of the Swedish Public Health Agency on high volumes there is a general age restriction for concerts at the Arena. It is incumbent upon the event owner to follow this, in accordance with the Swedish Environmental Management Agency. The age restriction is 13 YOA, even if the child is accompanied by an adult guardian. Exceptions are made for events that are specifically for children.

Many people may wonder why the onus is not on the parents to protect their child’s hearing, for example with earplugs. The intention of the general guidelines from the Swedish Public Health Agency is to protect the hearing of all children – even if parents are cognisant of how to protect their hearing or not. It is the responsibility of the event owner that the sound environment and sound levels do not cause harm to visitors’ hearing. According to Swedish law (The Environmental Code) the event owner cannot transfer the responsibility of protecting the hearing of visitors to the visitors.

Take the metro

Rail maintenance work is affecting all intercity and regional rail services and there are a limited number of public transport options. SL (provider of public transport in Stockholm) therefore recommends:

  • If you are traveling to the south of the city take the metro from Solna Centrum which is within walking distance of the Arena.  Staff will be available to help you and there will be information signs. Extra metro trains will be put on.
  • If you opt to take the commuter train walk to the south entrance of Solna commuter train station, to avoid queuing and to fill up the trains.
  • If you are traveling north of the city towards Märsta/Uppsala by commuter train, walk to Ulriksdal station. If you walk to Solna Station you run the risk of not being able to catch a train to these destinations.

Please follow the instructions given by our staff and we can all get home as smoothly as possible.

The rail maintenance work also limits the possibility of putting on extra trains daytime so we advise you to take the metro to the Arena. Take the blue line number 11 metro and get off at Solna Centrum station; the journey takes approx. 10 minutes from Stockholm City. The distance from Solna Centrum to the Arena is approx. 1.7km.
